Live Course of Trades

Course of Trades Icon To access the Course of Trades, you can either enter the trading code of an asset in the Classic area of the Live Tab and select 'Trades', or via the Course of Trades icon on your Desktop Toolbar. You can also bring it up by clicking on the link displayed in a Live Search, WatchList or News Filter, if your default action is set to 'Course of Trades'.

This window consumes 2 Session Points when used by a Dynamic Data subscriber, or one Static View per refresh when viewed by a Static Data subscriber.

Usage

Pause Button Course of Trades is a dynamic window, updating every 5 seconds. Dynamic Data subscribers can pause the display of new trades by clicking the Pause button (shown left).

The Auction region of the display gives the estimated results of the Pre-Market Auction, CSPA, or any other suspended trading mode. Note that these are only estimates, and may change upon commencement of trading.

Go Button You can enter a trading code into the text box in the top right. Pressing Enter or clicking the Go button (shown left) will search for a matching asset. By default, an exact match will switch to that asset, but you can force a broader search by holding down Ctrl or Shift when pressing Enter or clicking Go. This will bring up a search window with matches again both code and name, letting you select the asset you desire.

Trades Table

Below the Summary and Auction areas is the list of 100 recent trades. If there have been less than 100 trades today, a purple divider will be shown and trades from yesterday and the day before will be shown (up to a total of 100).

The colour of the Price refers to the most recent trend of the Asset. Green colours are price increases, and Red are price decreases. Black/White may also be visible for both off-market trades (which do not affect the trend), and trades that have not yet changed the price for a new day.

The Reference column gives TurboTrader's reference for each individual trade. It does not represent the ASX's own value.

The B/S column identifies the aggressive side of the trade (ie: who initiated it by placing an order). This will be blank for Off Market trades, or those matched as part of an auction.

Default Targeting

Window Menu If you would like this window to be the default target when you click an Asset Code inside a Live Search, WatchList or Portfolio Status, look to the menu.

Default Button From there, select the Make Default item. The default target will apply to all windows that are part of the Group.

Drag-and-Drop

Like all Single-Asset windows, the Course of Trades can receive any Asset in order to display its details. The purple bar is also a draggable object, allowing you to drag it onto any window that accepts an Asset - Asset Details, Market Depth, Charts, or News Filters - as well as onto a WatchList or Portfolio Status that is showing a Like list.

The Course of Trades toolbar icon is a draggable object. By dragging it onto any of the other Single-Asset windows, you can quickly bring it up targeted to the desired Asset.

Course of Trades can also receive a dragged Asset Details, Market Depth, Charts, or News Filters icon from the toolbar. If the window is docked, this will cause a new window to open with the dragged type, targeted to the Asset being displayed. If the window is floating, the Course of Trades will be replaced by the type that was dragged.
